Job Title: Manager Procurement Ready Mixed Concrete Plant

Job Purpose:

ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, equipment, and services necessary for smooth operation of the RMC plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Material Procurement:

Source and procure essential raw materials like cement, aggregates, admixtures, and fly ash from approved vendors.

Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers; conduct periodic performance reviews.

Negotiation & Contracting:

Negotiate best terms for pricing, credit, and delivery; prepare purchase orders and contracts as per organizational guidelines.

Inventory Coordination:

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables to avoid stock-outs or excess storage; coordinate with store and production teams.

Logistics & Delivery Monitoring:

Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays; coordinate transport and unloading of materials at site/plant.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that procured materials meet technical specifications and quality standards set by the QC/Technical team.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and invoices; ensure adherence to company policies and statutory regulations.

Cost Optimization:

Continuously explore opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality or timelines.

Coordination with Departments:

Collaborate with production, accounts, and technical departments to align procurement activities with plant requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

years of experience in procurement, preferably in ready mixed concrete industry.

Familiarity with local material suppliers and logistics operations.

Working knowledge of ERP or procurement systems.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Willing to travel to all locations

Based at Mangalore
