Description
As the Principal Software Engineer for Employee Access Management at Customer Connectivity, a global team within Mastercard, you play a crucial role in designing, building, and supporting service platforms that facilitate Identity and certificate management functions for global Mastercard application teams. In this position, you are a technical authority, providing comprehensive leadership and guiding critical decisions across the program and its technology and product partners. Your role involves collaborating with various stakeholders such as architects, product managers, analysts, managers, and engineers to develop innovative solutions for the evolving platform, thereby acting as a pathfinder and enabler for the organization. In this capacity, you serve as a technical team leader and individual contributor, dedicating a significant amount of time to hands-on work. Recognized as a subject matter expert in your field, you promote innovation and drive organizational growth through your impactful contributions. You lead complex, enterprise-wide initiatives and collaborate with business and product owners, engineers, and architects to design and implement new services that facilitate the introduction of innovative products and bundles. Additionally, you are responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering software solutions while defining requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes, and best practices. Your role also entails setting priorities, objectives, and driving deliverables within global technology domains and sub-domains, engaging with the broader technical community to anticipate innovations, and evaluating new solutions for future business platform system requirements. Leveraging the input of partners and your personal experience, you make informed decisions on technical direction, explain technical issues and solution strategies to stakeholders, ensure timely accomplishment of technical designs and delivery milestones, and liaise with stakeholders to understand business needs effectively. You have a proven track record of designing and developing high-performance, globally scalable platforms and solutions. Throughout your career, you have earned a reputation for solving complex challenges and have evolved to collaborate effectively with others to address monumental issues. While you still enjoy hands-on work, you thrive on collaborative efforts with SRE, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to ensure robust architectures, finely tuned systems, and optimized code. Recognizing the critical nature of the financial infrastructure your software supports, you balance hands-on leadership with a focus on ensuring SDLC and governance processes are effective and responsible. Your proficiencies include profound experience in developing scalable, high-performing systems, expertise in design and architecture patterns such as APIs, event-driven services, batch services, and messaging systems. You are skilled in programming languages like Java, REST API, Microservices, Kafka, MQ, and Spring Boot. Additionally, you have experience in Cloud and DevOps Architecture involving Kubernetes, Docker, Chef, Azure, and AWS, as well as databases like PostgreSQL and Oracle. You are proficient in various tools including Eclipse or IntelliJ, Sonar, GIT, Maven, SQL Developer, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
