Principal, Software Engineer-4

As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart International, you will be responsible for coding, unit testing, and building high-performance and scalable applications that cater to the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers in the areas of supply chain management and customer experience. Working closely with multiple teams, you will provide guidance on technical aspects, set quality standards, participate in design discussions, and drive technical decisions. Your role will involve conducting architecture and design reviews, code reviews, and engaging with Product Management and Business to prioritize and deliver exceptional products. In collaboration with Walmart International, which operates over 5,900 retail units across 26 countries, you will lead the design, development, implementation, and documentation of cutting-edge solutions at scale. You will interact with engineering teams globally, leveraging expertise and contributing to the tech community to ensure the success of strategic initiatives. Bringing over 12 years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, expertise in Java, Python, and ReactJS, and familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and container technologies. Your deep knowledge of DevOps principles, cloud-native applications, databases, APIs, testing frameworks, and event-based distributed systems will be key in driving innovation and growth. You will work with senior leadership to shape the future roadmap of products, participate in hiring and team-building activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
