Principal Project Design Leader

As a member of Schneider Electric energy management R&D Center in India, your primary responsibility is to design, implement, and deliver high-quality software that promotes the selling of Schneider Electric products, solutions, and services. With a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring enterprise applications, you should possess a diverse skill set in utilizing modern technologies such as Java, Angular, Spring, and related tools. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in leading the team's implementation and supporting the engineering manager in day-to-day operations. Your successful track record should demonstrate your ability to collaborate within teams and deliver projects punctually in a dynamic and agile environment. Your key responsibilities include showcasing exceptional leadership qualities, technical expertise, design and architecture skills to guide the team in devising optimal solutions for business challenges. You should have the capability to simplify complex technical challenges and requirements into actionable decisions. Leading the technical team to steer the strategic agenda for product and platform development alongside collaborating with Software Architect, Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and the Development team is essential. Moreover, planning the delivery and defining milestones, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring the proper allocation of resources to meet project delivery and business commitments will fall under your purview. You will be tasked with identifying risks within projects and devising action plans to mitigate them, promptly escalating any risks to relevant stakeholders. Collaborating closely with Development, Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams to comprehend build, release, branching, and versioning requirements for code and databases is a critical aspect of your role. Ensuring a conscious level of cybersecurity throughout the development process by liaising with central cybersecurity teams is imperative. In terms of knowledge and skills, this role requires you to primarily engage in coding activities for at least 75% of your time. A solid grasp of modern application patterns and deployment methods is essential. Proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring (ORM, Security, MVC, AOP), Azure services like service bus and event grid, building data-intensive applications using SQL/NoSQL DBs, microservices-based application integrations, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Git, Jenkins or Azure DevOps is necessary. Your qualifications should include a BE/B.Tech/MCA degree in any branch, and your work environment will be based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
