JOB DESCRIPTION: The general role requirement is that of a skilled Power BI consultant who is exceptional at BI report visualization in Power BI, data modelling and programming with good business acumen, excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to guide other developers to create efficient and effective performance visualization dashboards in Power BI. The person taking up this role also is also expected to provide technical consulting to business operations team and to provide hands-on development of highly complex and business critical projects in Power BI but also on Microsoft Office based application suites, primarily Excel and Access, SQL. The position requires in-depth knowledge of DAX functions and variables in DAX, and a strong understanding of various charts, filters, methods to connect to data sources etc. The successful candidate is able to think innovatively and provide out-of-the-box solutions. S/he will be part of the technology-consulting wing, and will need to work closely with technology consultants in other technology platforms that include MS-Office, SQL Server and also with program managers, project managers and account managers of high caliber. Minimum Qualifications and skills Masters degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CA,CFA, CPA) preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience. MS Excel (including Power Pivot and Data Model) Experience working with Alteryx Designer and Server is preferred. Strong understanding of data migration, integration concepts and techniques. Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Strong analytical, project management, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously to meet tight deadlines and drive projects to completion independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment.
