Additional Specific Responsibilities: Develop fully custom WordPress themes (not relying solely on page builders). Convert Figma/PSD designs into pixel-perfect, responsive HTML templates. Build WordPress themes from scratch using modern coding standards. Customize and maintain existing websites and plugins. Ensure all websites are mobile-responsive, fast-loading, and cross-browser compatible. Integrate front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS. Work with REST APIs and AJAX for dynamic functionality. Take initiative in page speed improvements and web security. Must-Have Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 6 + years of hands-on WordPress development experience. You should have built and launched multiple WordPress websites and be comfortable with both front-end and back-end aspects of WordPress. Strong command of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Strong command with builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc. (though custom work is key). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Agency Background: Proven experience in a digital marketing agency or in a role collaborating with digital marketing teams. You understand the fast-paced agency environment and can juggle multiple projects and deadlines. This experience will help in building marketing-oriented websites and landing pages efficiently. WordPress Expertise: Deep knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins. Familiarity with creating custom post types, modifying theme functions, and using WordPress hooks/actions. WPBakery & Elementor: Strong experience required for both, even though the main focus will be custom wordpress. SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEO best practices for websites.
