Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant- Systems Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support and optimize our enterprise IT infrastructure across Azure, MDM, and Microsoft 365 environments. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud solutions, with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and cross-platform device management (Windows and macOS). You will play a key role in automating workflows using PowerShell, Power Automate, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Additional responsibilities include managing MDM platforms, enhancing access controls with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and ensuring performance and compliance across our Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Responsibilities: . Cloud Infrastructure & Virtual Desktop Engineering o Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments o Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using Nerdio o Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across cloud-hosted workloads . Endpoint Management & Device Configuration o Administer Microsoft Intune and Jamf for device lifecycle management (Windows/macOS) o Enforce configuration policies and security baselines across endpoints o Support deployment and updates of Island Enterprise Browser and related tooling . Automation & Workflow Optimization o Develop PowerShell scripts for task automation and infrastructure management o Build and manage automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate or similar tools o Improve operational efficiency through automated provisioning and configuration . Identity, Access, and MDM Platform Support o Manage Azure Active Directory / Entra ID for user identity and access control o Support mobile device management (MDM) strategies and platform health o Ensure secure access controls across SaaS and endpoint systems . Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration Management o Use Terraform and Ansible to deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources o Maintain version-controlled infrastructure and enforce configuration consistency Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills . Bachelor&rsquos degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field . hands-on experience in systems and cloud engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and workflow automation . Proven expertise supporting and optimizing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform & Ansible . Strong experience managing enterprise device environments using Microsoft Intune (Windows) and Jamf (macOS), including policy enforcement and lifecycle management . Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, including licensing, security, and endpoint integration . Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell for automation of system tasks and infrastructure operations . Skilled in designing and maintaining workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate or equivalent tools . Deep understanding of Azure Active Directory/EntraID . Familiarity with Island Enterprise Browser and its role in secure enterprise access . Working knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks . As a Specialist Solutions Engineer (SSE) on the Modern Workspace team, you will be a key contributor in presales engagements with our clients to design and scope Modern Workspace focused solutions. In this position, you will collaborate with our clients and other architects to define journey maps, adoption plans, and long-term strategy. This will include defining customer requirements, delivering proposed technical architectural designs, demonstrating solutions, leveraging vendor relationships and tools, and defining associated professional services. In this role, you will work within the Presales and Engineering organization responsible for designing, architecting and consulting for AHEAD clients.
