Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Manager / Sr. Manager

Qualification:

Purpose of the Role:

To manage and control the overall functioning and performance of the Electrical Maintenance Department by ensuring high equipment availability, minimal downtime, energy optimization, and adherence to statutory, safety, and organizational standards to support uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control the overall functioning and performance of the Electrical Maintenance Department.
• Attend machine critical breakdowns on shift to maintain minimum downtime, ensuring optimal MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
• Suggest and implement corrective and preventive actions for problems related to equipment to enhance reliability and performance.
• Review and monitor spare parts availability to ensure zero downtime due to spares shortages.
• Drive indigenous development of spare parts for cost optimization and supply assurance.
• Prepare CAPEX proposals and ensure timely approvals from management for department improvement and project needs.
• Plan and implement new projects, including installation, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical systems.
• Conduct technical training sessions for departmental staff to enhance skills and competency levels.
• Arrange external technical training programs for department employees for continuous development.
• Provide expert guidance and support during major electrical breakdowns to ensure quick resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety practices and maintain high standards of housekeeping in all electrical maintenance areas.
• Define KRAs and KPIs for self and all subordinates to ensure clear performance expectations and monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain Electrical Maintenance SOPs for all equipment to ensure standardised operations and compliance.
• Prepare, monitor, and control annual and periodical budgets for all maintenance-related activities to ensure cost efficiency.
• Carry out statutory inspections and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to electrical installations and operations.
• Control attrition and absenteeism within the department by ensuring engagement, discipline, and workforce management.
• Review energy consumption data regularly and implement suggestions for energy optimization and cost saving.
• Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with management to present department performance, challenges, and improvement plans.
• Review AMCs of equipment and evaluate vendor performance for reliability and service quality.
