MEP Design Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Design and review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and low-voltage systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards. Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and BOQs using AutoCAD and relevant MEP software. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, site teams, and consultants for MEP integration. Ensure all MEP services comply with local authority codes, sustainability standards, and best practices. Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and feasibility studies. Review vendor/shop drawings and material submissions to ensure compliance with design intent. Provide technical support to execution teams during project implementation. Conduct design audits, inspections, and quality checks as needed. Requirements Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Dialux, and other MEP design tools. Sound knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems. Familiar with IS/NBC codes, ECBC, and local construction standards. Strong design, calculation, and system integration skills. Ability to handle multi-disciplinary coordination and design review. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Preferred Background: Experience in real estate or construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use). Worked with contractors, consultants, or developers in MEP planning or design roles.
