Mechatronics R&D Engineering Manager

In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading a team of mechanical, electronics, and software engineers to develop futuristic interactive systems. With our products exported to over 40 countries, TouchMagix is rapidly growing and looking for a talented individual to contribute to our success. As the R&D Manager - Mechatronics, you will be responsible for guiding the team in building rapid prototypes and transitioning them into production-ready designs. Your expertise in mechanical and electronic design, along with hands-on knowledge of electronics for motor control, sensor interfacing, and PCB design, will be essential in this role. Additionally, your familiarity with software such as Solid Works, Autocad, and CATIA, as well as your understanding of enclosure design in various materials, will be highly valuable. Your role will involve collaborating closely with Project Managers and Engineers to develop new products and applications within the interactive systems field. You will lead the prototyping to production process for electro-mechanical designs, ensuring quality standards are met at every stage. Your ability to anticipate potential challenges, implement solutions, and work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment will be key to your success. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be required to lead project scheduling and management, conduct technical analysis for RFQs, and coordinate with the US factory for production implementation. Your experience in project management, team leadership, and vendor evaluation will be instrumental in delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 10 years of experience and hold a B.Tech. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation, preferably with an M.Tech. qualification. Experience in image processing and software development would be advantageous.
