Mechanical Fitter

As a Sheet Metal Worker, your primary responsibility will involve fabricating sheet metal components using a variety of hand and power tools like shears, brakes, punches, and CNC equipment. You will be required to cut, bend, shape, and fabricate sheet metal based on blueprints, sketches, or specifications. Additionally, joining sheet metal components through welding, riveting, bolting, and other techniques to create complete assemblies or structures will be a crucial aspect of your role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for installing fabricated items such as ductwork, roofing, and siding at construction sites or facilities, ensuring proper fit and functionality. In case of any damaged or malfunctioning sheet metal products, you will diagnose and repair them, particularly focusing on DRYER systems and other metal components. To excel in this role, you must possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work specifications accurately. Adhering to safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment and using tools and equipment safely, is paramount. Moreover, maintaining cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas is essential to your job. Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the fabrication or installation process will be a common practice. Working with various materials, including different types of sheet metal such as MS & Various SS sheet, will also be part of your routine tasks. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits that include health insurance, leave encashment, and provident fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, with a yearly bonus provided. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal work. The work location is in person at Howrah, West Bengal.
