Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• To execute the Eq. / Fixture mechanical drawing with respect to design verification check plan.
• Design custom special-purpose machines (SPMs) & Fixtures for production and testing applications.
• Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) to create detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, and assemblies.
• To convert the 2D drawing to 3D using the CAD tools.
• Develop machine layouts, component selections, and system integration details.
• Collaborate with electrical, automation, and software teams to integrate mechanical designs with other systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during machine commissioning, installation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation (DFM), including drawings, specifications, and SOPs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience
• 3-5 Years of experience in the mechanical design, preferably in special purpose machines.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.) and other engineering tools (FEA, CFD).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and machine components selections.
• Skills
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and automation.
• Mechanical material, Mold Injection, Metal Stamping Tooling management knowledge.
• Familiarity with industrial standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge and experience on the Microsoft applications such as Excel, Work and Power Point are necessary.
