Location - Turbhe, Navi Mumbai & Lower parel ( Open to work from both offices)

Reports To CEO

Hands on experienc to procurement of marine equipment,spare parts, and materials required for operations. Logistics, import logistics & documentaion & customs.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strong background in the Marine industry to oversee and manage all aspects of marine purchase, import logistics from air and sea,warehouse operations and knowledge of customs procedures at Mumbai Port.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supply chain management, possess excellent organizational and leadership skills,and have a comprehensive understanding of the marine industry and its specific requirements.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

customs procedures especially dock in/out, pass arrangements especially at Mumbai/Nhava Port

Ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of marine equipment,spare parts, and materials required for operations.

Sahar Mumbai (Air) and NHAVA(sea).

Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing inventory turnover.

Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of marine equipment and materials, ensuring efficient utilization of warehouse space and adherence to safety protocols.

local/international suppliers/OEMs, freight forwarders, and customs agents

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to marine procurement, import logistics, and customs procedures.

Keep control on day to day jobs executed by the operations/warehouse teams.

finance and license/compliance

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.

Look after the daily running of vehicles and their maintenance.

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. A master's degree would be a plus.

Proven work experience as a Supply Chain Manager or a similar role within the marine industry.

Strong knowledge of marine procurement processes, import logistics,andcustoms procedures at Mumbai Port.

Familiarity with customs regulations, documentation requirements/CHA, and compliance procedures.

Experience in managing import logistics from air and sea,including coordination with freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport providers.

Solid understanding of warehouse management principles,including inventory control, space optimization, and safety protocols.

Proficiency in using supply chain management software, ERP and tools.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Effective communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.

Knowledge of Lean SixSigma processes will be an advantage

Fluent English and MS Office(Excel,Powerpoint)isamust.

Ability to frequently move in/out for official/operational requirements

Will be required to operate from Turbhe,Navi Mumbai location,but will frequentlybe required to move, especially to Mazgaon and Mumbai Port.

Ability to take pressure and work under pressure.
