The main responsibilities of this role include installing and qualifying new process equipment, troubleshooting day-to-day manufacturing issues, and identifying system improvements to enhance throughput, yield, and product performance. You will be required to have experience in thin-film deposition processes or thermal processing in the semiconductor/glass industry. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of PLC and Controls, Vision systems, Statistical Data Analysis, Metrology, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, and manufacturing processes. In terms of skills, you must have excellent problem-solving abilities, proficiency in writing manufacturing documentation, and the ability to apply structured problem-solving methods. You should also be capable of training operators, technicians, and new engineers. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Desirable skills include knowledge of General Electronics, General Mechanical Systems, and Robust Engineering principles. You will be responsible for developing, improving, and documenting solar module manufacturing processes, working with the development team, and conducting experiments to establish manufacturing process windows. Other responsibilities include solving production, equipment, and process problems, evaluating and qualifying new equipment, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining effective communication with internal associates and suppliers, and providing training to engineers and production associates. You will also be involved in continuous improvement activities, developing Process Control Plans and Preventive Maintenance Plans, and adhering to safety procedures and housekeeping standards. This role may require domestic and international travel. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 27 pounds, and use hands to handle objects. Good vision, compliance with safety standards, and the ability to wear personal protective equipment are essential.
