Manager-US Tax

You will be the US Tax Manager responsible for leading and overseeing tax engagements for our U.S.-based clients. Your primary role will involve managing client communication from engagement initiation to final delivery, ensuring adherence to IRS and state tax regulations while maintaining quality and timeliness. Your key responsibilities will include managing and reviewing the preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns for various entities such as individuals, corporations, and partnerships. As the main point of contact for U.S.-based clients, you will handle onboarding, issue resolution, and final sign-off. It will be crucial for you to effectively communicate complex tax matters to clients, provide tax planning recommendations, and supervise a team of tax associates and reviewers. To excel in this role, you should possess a CPA or EA certification (or equivalent international qualifications) with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in U.S. tax preparation, preferably in a public accounting setting. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of U.S. federal and state tax laws, forms, and compliance requirements. You will be expected to stay updated on IRS regulations, conduct final technical reviews of tax files, coordinate with internal teams, and manage workflow across tax seasons to meet deadlines. Additionally, your ability to handle tax notices, queries, and IRS/state correspondence on behalf of clients will be vital. Preferred attributes for this role include attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously, experience in training junior tax professionals, and a proactive problem-solving approach with a focus on client satisfaction. A comfortable working style in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, remote environment and proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel are also key qualifications for this position.,
