Job Description

Job Purpose:

To strengthen the environmental agenda of protection and preservation of natural resources should take a leading role in developing and implementing a sustainability strategy.

Role & responsibilities

  • Build and maintain comprehensive sustainability initiatives and programs across the Company.
  • Devising sustainability and CSR strategy to meet targets and to encourage best practices.
  • Collect analyzes company-wide data on sustainability initiatives and programs and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to provide senior management with relevant analysis and recommendations on sustainability programs and reporting.
  • Ensure HR planning and policy takes account of and reflects the companys agreed sustainability and CSR policy.
  • Developing and executing sustainability and CSR programs as well as conducting periodic program reviews to assess outcomes and effectiveness
  • Acting as the focal point for the Company's CSR initiatives in the geography and building relationships with community partners and key stakeholders
  • Staying abreast of relevant research, trends in the areas of focus, and promoting best practices
  • Promoting employee volunteering initiatives in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Working with Marketing and PR teams to drive internal engagement and promote storytelling
  • Driving budget & monitoring spending to deliver results in line with planned objectives
  • Encouraging links between the company and educational or charitable groups
  • Promote the M&S brand Behaviors and ensure company policy and procedures are followed: including behavior set out in the M&S Code of Ethics and ensuring the business complies with all relevant legislation, regulation, and good corporate governance practices.
  • Responsible for physical & emotional wellness of employees.
  • To create external partnership with outside brands.
  • Coordinate with company external auditors and stakeholders for projects.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Sound understanding of environmental, economic, and social policies and practices
  • Strong research skills and ability to analyze and interpret data to create reports
  • Exceptional decision-making skills, demonstrating a strategic and objective approach to challenges and opportunities
  • Demonstrated skills managing multiple priorities while maintaining poise in difficult situations
