Role & responsibilities

• Lead Automation Projects: Be a key member of the core implementation team responsible for the successful delivery of a highly automated AMR, ASRS, ABoPTs, Truck loading/Unloading
  
• Engineering Team Leadership: Post go-live, you will serve as the primary leader of the site engineering team, ensuring optimal performance and operational efficiency.
  
• Client Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for both Delhivery and our customers, embodying our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
  
• Project Coordination: Oversee and synchronize industrial and automation engineering projects at the site to achieve seamless integration and productivity.
  
• Enhancements Collaboration: Work closely with the Continuous Improvement team to identify areas for enhancements and efficiencies.
  
• Performance Analysis: Conduct regular evaluations of automation systems to assess their health and operational performance.
  
• Issue Resolution: Collaborate with local maintenance teams and vendors to swiftly address and remediate issues as they arise.
  
• Training Development: Create, deliver, and train the site operations team on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to automation, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  
• Operational Oversight: Direct responsibility for the day-to-day health of automation systems, coordinating with third-party vendors as needed.
  
• Reporting: Develop and present internal and external reports related to automation performance and insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study, along with relevant experience.
  
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Implementing Automation systens, ideally within heavily automated warehouse environments involving advanced technologies such as Retrofit Automation, Sortation’s – CBS, Wheel, conveyors, AMRs, AGVs, Sortation systems, and ASRS.
  
• Strong knowledge of automated material handling equipment, pallet and case conveyors, sorters, and AGVs.
  
• Solid understanding of the project life cycle for automated material handling systems.
  
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.
  
• Advanced analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and/or SQL, for system diagnostics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
  
• PMP certification will be an advantage.
  
• Proven ability to multitask and manage projects effectively while meeting deadlines
