You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations related to plastic waste processing at Saahas Zero Waste. This includes ensuring compliance with extended producer responsibility programs, implementing waste diversion initiatives, and collaborating with brands and producers to promote responsible waste management. Your role will play a crucial part in achieving the company's goal of zero waste to landfills by leveraging technology and data to provide transparent waste management solutions. To excel in this role, you should have experience in waste management, particularly with plastic waste processing. Knowledge of extended producer responsibility programs is essential. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to effectively work with various sectors and stakeholders. Attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical in managing operations efficiently. You should also possess the ability to analyze data and implement waste diversion strategies to contribute towards sustainable waste management practices. Previous experience in the environmental or sustainability sector would be advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field is preferred to demonstrate a strong foundation in the principles of waste management and environmental sustainability.
