Manager, Network Operations

As a Manager, Network Operations at Fiserv, you will be a part of the Network Operation Center (NOC) team responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting hybrid Network Infrastructure for both Fiserv's external customers and internal users. Collaborating closely with internal technology teams, you will lead the technical effort to identify, troubleshoot, and fix infrastructure issues after gathering facts and forensics to meet the business requirements defined in SOP. The role necessitates a high degree of collaboration with other technical teams to provide the right level of agility within a defined delivery process. This role is based in Fiserv's India offices and requires overlapping with US working hours following a follow-the-sun model. Additionally, the role requires working on weekends as part of the 365x12x7 support model. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor a vast hybrid infrastructure using Fiserv-defined tools and collaborate with cross-functional tech teams to isolate, troubleshoot, and fix Network-related issues. - Work on various network, FW, and LB platforms like Nexus, Arista, Versa, F5, Palo, etc. - Deep dive into complex ongoing issues and provide insights to expedite resolutions. - Participate in technical bridge calls to gather necessary information for investigating high-severity issues. - Contribute to inter-departmental planning meetings on proposed solutions for existing issues and process improvements. - Engage with different vendors for circuit issues such as AT&T, Lumen, Verizon, Park Plaza, TATA, Airtel, etc. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and escalate Network issues in a timely manner. - Participate in automation initiatives to enhance operational maturity. Key Skills/Requirements: - Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN technology and protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, HTTP, FTP, TCP, and Spanning Tree. - Experience in troubleshooting SDWAN technologies. - Proficiency in configuring and independently troubleshooting Cisco Switches and Routers. - Familiarity with troubleshooting WAN and LAN connectivity issues. - Knowledge of BGP & EIGRP is essential. - Knowledge of load balancing concepts is required, with specific knowledge of F5/Citrix Load balancers being advantageous. - Working knowledge of Checkpoint/Juniper/Palo Alto Firewalls is a plus. - Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills. Desired Skills: - Eagerness and capability to quickly learn new technologies essential for achieving operational goals. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills. - Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. - Scripting skills, particularly in Python for automation and the use of Gen AI in Network Infrastructure.
