Job Description

The Accounts Manager role at one of Weekday's clients offers a competitive salary range of Rs 2000000 - Rs 2500000 per annum (INR 20-25 LPA) and requires a minimum of 5 years of experience. The location for this full-time position includes Indore, Bhopal, Dewas, and Ujjain. As an Accounts Manager, you will play a crucial role in the finance team by overseeing various financial aspects, including financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, tax compliance, internal controls, and more. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in cost accounting and financial management within a manufacturing industry or commodity market environment while ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and industry-specific regulations. Your responsibilities will include: Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. Timely and accurate reporting of financial data is essential. Cost Accounting & Cost Control: Track and analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads. Develop cost allocation methods, ensure accuracy in cost of goods sold (COGS), conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with different departments to create annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets, provide financial insights, and ensure efficient cost management and resource allocation. Inventory Management & Valuation: Manage the financial aspects of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Apply proper valuation methods and perform periodic inventory reconciliation. Tax Compliance & Reporting: Handle federal, state, and local tax filings, including sales tax, income tax, and other manufacturing-specific taxes. Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and optimize tax planning strategies. Auditing & Internal Controls: Coordinate internal and external audits, develop internal control procedures, safeguard company assets, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, meet working capital requirements, assist in cash flow forecasting, and support operational efficiency and financial decision-making. Financial Analysis & Decision Support: Provide insights and financial analysis to support management in decision-making processes, such as capital investment decisions, pricing strategies, and cost reduction initiatives. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, U.S. federal and state laws, industry standards, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) if applicable. Align financial reporting with regulatory frameworks and best practices. Financial Systems & ERP Management: Manage financial systems and processes, integrate with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensure accurate and accessible financial data across systems. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, offer guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and skills.,
