As a Manager of the Development team, your role is crucial in ensuring that software development programs are adequately staffed and that targets for the development and maintenance of products are met across multiple product areas. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience working on complex products, with at least 3 years of experience leading or managing software development teams. You will be responsible for driving best practices for development teams, including defining, planning, estimating, and executing features against strict timelines. Effective communication with leadership, colleagues, staff, and customers is essential, as well as working independently while aligning with leadership goals. Your expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Microsoft Development environments will be valuable, along with knowledge of tools such as TFS, GitHub, Azure DevOps, automated testing, and development environments. While knowledge of healthcare software is a bonus, your curiosity and engagement in all aspects of Business Unit goals will be key in motivating and encouraging others in the organization. Key responsibilities include resource forecasting and allocation, leading development processes, ensuring compliance with standards, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and establishing collaborative relationships with global counterparts. You will also be responsible for setting performance goals, communicating effectively, and identifying and recruiting talents to ensure a mix of competencies within the team.
