Role & responsibilities To oversee and ensure the successful completion of a cost reduction initiative from beginning to closure with particular focus on Value Competitiveness Internal departments coordination, coordination and collaboration with other Marelli departments. Coordinate the comparative analysis of optical data sheets of current displays against alternative proposals and work with the vendor and team to minimize and manage any gap. Assessment of cost down areas of products optical BOMs, assess technical feasibility, definition of actions, effort estimations and timing necessary to implement the changes. Support in re-designing advanced optical systems to achieve BOM cost reduction. Assure proper and efficient technical redesign, design implementation, and validation to achieve internal and customer approval for the change. Deep knowledge of LED, display, optical parts and optical bonding, their specification and influence of the design, components, and production process selection.
