For further information about Nomura, visit www.nomura.com Duties and Responsibilities: Handle 9 x 5 Support & weekend oncall for RedHat Linux / VMWare based virtualization platform. Ready to work in EU Shift (12 PM to 09 PM IST) No night shifts involved. Participate in incident/outage handling of Linux and VMWare Manage and Help Level2 teams during offhours, on rotation. Escalation and liaison with Vendor/Engineering for trouble shooting complex problems / issues. Upgrading and expanding OS, Virtualization and Hardware platforms in line with Vendor/Engineering guidance. Conducting disaster recovery reviews and tests. Preparing and implementing scheduled changes in system during offhours / weekends. Collaborating with regional peers in implementing global projects. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: Essential: 510 years of Red Hat Linux and VMWare administration experience 5+ years of total IT experience Experience on RedHat OS 7 and above Experience on VMware Experience on Ansible Tower Scripting and Automation experience ( python and shell scripting) Knowledge/Experience would be of benefit: Cloud infrastructure experience (Azzure, AWS, GCP) Familiarity of SRE concepts, Scripting for Cloud, CI/CD/Devops tools exposure Working experience with largescale server environments Experience on RedHat clusters / Veritas cluster / Satellite Core Competencies: Investment Banking experience desirable but not essential Enthusiastic, eager, passionate Ability to cope well under pressure. Ability to work individually as well as part of a team when required. Good communication skills Selfmotivated and keen to learn and develop.
