Lead Software Engineer - Java & Python

You will develop secure high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Additionally, you will lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. You will also lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies, contributing to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills for this role include formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. You should have experience with Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, and Kafka, as well as familiarity with Microservices architecture and related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and API Gateway. Experience with distributed tracing and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is essential, along with hands-on practical experience in delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle is required. You should also have an advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, as well as demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.), with practical cloud-native experience. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include experience with AI technologies, including machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems, and familiarity with Python and AI.,
