Lead Devops Developer

Position Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product owner, technical integrator, and architect collaborating within agile teams to deliver user story/tasks
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate routine tasks and processes related to cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
• Experience of building a range of Services in a Cloud Service provider (ideally GCP and Azure)
• Expert understanding of DevOps and Automation principles and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and available tools
• Security and Compliance, e.g., IAM and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools
• Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams
• Good leadership and teamwork skills
• Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security standards
• Excellent coding skills in at least one of the following: Terraform, Ansible, Shell Scripting, Python and PowerShell.
• Experienced in full automation and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Azure Devops
• Implement and manage secure secrets/credential management using Hashi Corp Vault and Azure Key Vault
• Create and maintain machine images and infrastructure template using packer.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues efficiently.
• Document process, configuration and architecture for knowledge sharing.

• Essential Skills

  • Cloud Infrastructure Scripting including Terraform and Ansible.
  • Demonstrable Cloud service provider experience (ideally Azure and GCP ) - infrastructure build and configurations
  • Experience of working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) tools such as Azure Devops, Hashicorp Vault etc.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Hands-on experience in Automation scripting (using scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible .)
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written )
