Jr. Purchase Executive

Job Title: Junior Purchase Executive
Location: Adyar (Re locate in sholingnallur)
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Head

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Purchase Executive to support the purchasing and procurement functions of our organization. The role involves sourcing suppliers, comparing prices, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining records to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Collect quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
• Coordinate with the stores, accounts, and other departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle supplier inquiries and resolve issues as needed.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with purchase and inventory software (like Tally, SAP, etc.).
• Knowledge of local and international market trends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
