Responsibilities This position will: Developing and executing a business plan for the success of your segment, using internal and external data sources; Partnering with leaders to analyze management reports, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and develop pricing and underwriting strategies; Serving as a point of contact for brokers and internal colleagues; Attracting and retaining talented underwriters; Leading, training, coaching, and mentoring a team of underwriters toward continuous improvement and goal achievement; Managing and establishing underwriting standards, best practices, and audits within your segment; Maintaining a compliance culture with underwriters, ensuring work is completed in accordance with established corporate guidelines and delegated authority parameters; Developing strategic plans with key brokers and business partners; Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external parties, including attending industry events; and Acting as a technical subject matter expert and referral resource for underwriters. Qualifications You’re a good fit if you have: A minimum of 5 years of P&C insurance experience; Background in sports and recreation business is preferred; A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role; Background in sports and recreation business is preferred; An advanced understanding of commercial underwriting and the ability to apply this knowledge in day-to-day practice; An entrepreneurial spirit with strong selling and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to generate revenue growth; A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences; An insurance designation (preferred); and A Level 2 broker license or the ability to obtain this license within 90 days of hire.
