Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience. Experience: Minimum of [e.g., 3-5+] years of experience in a leadership or management role within semiconductor process engineering, specifically in plasma etch. Extensive hands-on experience with various plasma etch platforms (e.g., Lam Research, Applied Materials, Tokyo Electron). Strong understanding of plasma physics, surface chemistry, and material science as they relate to semiconductor etching (e.g., RIE, ICP, MERIE, atomic layer etching). Proven track record of successful process development and yield improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience with advanced technology nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm, 3nm and beyond for Logic/Memory). Proficiency in statistical data analysis, DOE, SPC, and APC. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment. Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab, MATLAB, Python/R for data science). Strong presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience with vacuum technology and gas delivery systems. Job Description: Lead and manage the PVD process engineering team to ensure stable, high-yield, and cost-effective manufacturing of metal and barrier film deposition processes. Provide technical mentorship and leadership development to engineers within the team. Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting film quality, process stability, tool uptime, and overall module efficiency in support of production and yield targets. Oversee the development, optimization, and qualification of PVD processes for key interconnect metals and barrier layers, ensuring alignment with technology roadmap and integration requirements. Support technology transfer and ramp-up activities for new fabs, including process installation, tool qualification, and production readiness (e.g., fab startup in India). Solid understanding of metal film deposition (e.g., Ti, TiN, W, Cu) and barrier/liner processes used in logic technology nodes. Experience with PVD equipment from major vendors (e.g., AMAT, ULVAC, LAM) including recipe development, troubleshooting, and hardware optimization. Proven ability to lead process qualifications, improvements, and technology transfers across fabs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. Excellent communication and leadership abilities to mentor engineers and align with manufacturing, integration, and equipment teams.
