Java Web Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing, releasing, and supporting java based multi-tier robust web Application and standalone systems.
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle, design, build, deploy, test, release and support. Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realise products.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance in coordination with QA team
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Optimizing performance for the apps and keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the emerging technologies.

Required Skills:

• Candidate should have experience in developing applications using JAVA/J2EE programming skills with sound understanding of Java 8-17.
• Strong proficiency in back-end language (Java), Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, AngularJS), Kafka.
• Strong JS skills on jQuery, HTML and CSS, Strong understanding and experience with Microservices
• Experience working with RDBMS concepts, SQL syntaxes and complex query processing and optimization (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Exposure to handling and configuring Web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns
• Experience in web services and clear understanding of RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot code issues
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams Preferred Skills:
• Good understanding / experience on software development methodology such as Agile, TDD etc.
• Good understanding of source control tools and its use (SVN, Git etc...)
• Experience in any application framework like Spring and ORM tools like Hibernate
• Exposure to CICD, Jenkins, Dockerisation and AWS Cloud Based Setup
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Exposure to Benchmarking and Best Coding Practices.
