IT Manager

About the Role

We seek a proactive and versatile IT Manager to lead our core infrastructure (networking, servers, desktop) while driving business process improvements through technology solutions and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management & Operations:

Manage, monitor, and optimize the corporate network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs).

Administer and maintain physical/virtual server infrastructure (hardware, OS, virtualization platforms).

Oversee end-user computing environment (desktops, laptops, OS deployment, imaging, patching, MDM).

Ensure system security, integrity, backup/recovery, and disaster preparedness.

Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and service providers.

Provide escalated technical support and mentorship to IT support staff.

Business Solutions & System Development:

Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business challenges and requirements.

Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions to improve workflows and productivity.

Design, build, and implement custom applications and workflows primarily using Airtable.

Develop and maintain scripts and automations (e.g., using Python, PowerShell, shell scripting, or integration tools) to streamline processes, data flows, and system management tasks.

Strategy & Planning:

Contribute to the IT roadmap, aligning technology initiatives with business goals.

Plan and manage infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management (networking, servers, desktop support).

Proven hands-on experience with:

Enterprise networking concepts & hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi).

Windows/Linux server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, virtualization - VMware/Hyper-V).

End-user device management (Windows/macOS, imaging, deployment tools, MDM).

Backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices.

Preferred experience building business solutions using low-code/no-code platforms (Airtable strongly preferred).

Programming/Scripting for Automation: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to create automations and solve operational problems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business process improvement.

Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and vendors effectively.

Leadership potential or experience mentoring/guiding others.
