Job Description

Position: International Trader

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 5+ years in Middle East and Africa market

Industry preferred: Chemical/paints

Role & responsibilities

Identify and develop trading opportunities in Africa and the Middle East across target sectors.
Manage import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and local laws.
Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with suppliers, buyers, and third-party service providers.
Conduct market research to analyze trends, competition, and economic conditions in target countries.
Maintain relationships with government agencies, embassies, and chambers of commerce to facilitate trade.
Coordinate logistics, shipping, and documentation with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
Prepare detailed trade proposals, bids, and commercial offers.
Monitor payment terms, financial transactions, and credit risks.
Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
Collaborate with internal departments (legal, finance, logistics, compliance) to ensure smooth trade operations.
