The Specialist Middleware Support is responsible for support, testing, implementation, and documentation of required middleware by Business functions. The Specialist Middleware Support will take care of end-to-end Integrations support for existing Integrations for both Application to Application (A2A) and Business to Business (B2B, aka Electronic Data Interface (EDI)) transactions. The Specialist Middleware Support role assumes responsibility for all aspects of middleware support working across Global IT teams. They will monitor jobs and resolve issues directly or by working with peers, escalations and/or business partners. Work Experience Requirements 4 + years of experience as an Integrations developer 1 + years of hands-on working experience in Boomi Responsibilities: Partners with the Business, the Business Analysts (BA) and/or the BRM (Business Relationship Manager; Operational) Consults with the BA when additional information and/or data are needed as solutions are implemented, deployed, and supported. Middleware Support Test and implement middleware processes using the standard toolset / platform adhering to established design standards. Coordinate with other developers, ensuring integration projects are completed on time. Work closely with architects and other team members to ensure integrations align with overall system architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Document integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Training and Documentation: Creates and maintain system, operations, and Integration partner documentation. Create and maintain documentation in accordance with established methodology and standards including but not limited to Integration Standards, Environment Variables, Deployment Checklists and Support documentation. Establish and track appropriate metrics and key performance indicators. Supports ongoing service level measurement metrics and reporting. Maintain and support processes and ensures ongoing communication of such processes to internal teams and business customers. Identify avenues for continuous improvement for services within scope of responsibility, including new approaches and processes that would contribute to improvements within department and to business growth/efficiency in the wider organization. Adherence to Best Practices: Maintain, implement best practices for Boomi deployment, testing and support. Remain current with emerging industry standards, including obtaining and/or maintaining required certifications in the integration space. oMaintain in-depth working knowledge of business and technology. oAssist with the development of policies, procedures, and technologies. Integration Tool knowledge, self-training, and alignment to industry technologies Continuously trains self on latest Integration technologies including tools, methods and features to be current in an environment where multiple integration tools are at play. Perform other duties as assigned related to this function globally. Production Support Maintaining a centralized logging system for all integration traffic which provides visibility on all traffic passed through built integrations. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Regularly monitoring existing integrations and systems to identify any issues or anomalies. When problems arise, youll be responsible for diagnosing the root cause and implementing fixes promptly. Bug Fixes and Enhancements: Addressing bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior in integrations. This includes debugging code, adjusting configurations, and ensuring that data flows correctly between systems. User Support: Aiding Integration partners, BAs (BRM, AO) who encounter integration-related problems. This may involve answering queries, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth operation.
