As an Assistant Manager (HR) at Maier Vidorno Altios, you will play a crucial role in handling HR operations for client employees throughout the employee life cycle. With over 5 years of experience, you are expected to have a deep understanding of human resource management and industrial relations. Your responsibilities will include managing on-boarding processes such as issuing offers, appointments, confirmations, and conducting induction training on company policies and reporting structures. You will be responsible for collecting and verifying documents for new joiners, updating employee data in HRIS software, and maintaining HR trackers. Additionally, you will oversee compensation and benefits administration, including attendance and leave management, settling accounts of resigning employees, calculating full and final settlement statements, and handling employee relations by organizing various events and addressing employee enquiries and grievances. You will also be involved in performance appraisals by keeping records of employees" status changes, updating performance appraisal data, and issuing increment letters. Exit management duties will include preparing attrition reports, conducting exit interviews, preparing relieving and experience letters, and ensuring full and final settlement of all resigned employees. To be successful in this role, you must hold an MBA/MSW qualification, have fluency in English and Hindi, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: Human Resource Management: Develop and implement plant-specific HR strategies aligned with corporate HR policies and business objectives. Manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of plant personnel (blue-collar and white-collar). Design and drive employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and retention. Performance Management: Facilitate the PMS cycle and ensure alignment with KRAs. Industrial Relations: Ensure harmonious industrial relations by maintaining proactive and constructive relationships with unions and workmen. Ensure EHS compliance in collaboration with Safety & Plant Ops teams. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of labour laws and IR practices. Proven experience in managing unions and labour negotiations. Ability to drive change and HR transformation. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Strategic thinking with operational excellence. Qualifications & Experience: MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent from a reputed institute. 18+ ears of experience in HR & IR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a plant environment. Experience in steel / metals / heavy engineering / process industry preferred. Working Conditions: Full-time, based at plant location. May require extended working hours during union negotiations, audits, or critical business periods.
