Role Summary:

As the HR Manager for the Sales & Marketing team, you will play a strategic and operational role in supporting our dynamic and growing domestic and international sales force in the medical devices sector. Your responsibilities will span the entire HR lifecyclefrom talent acquisition to employee engagement, performance management, and HR analyticsensuring a high-performing, compliant, and motivated sales organization.

You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing leadership and other internal stakeholders, including Plant HR, HRD Manager, and Finance, to implement policies and practices tailored to the unique needs of a geographically distributed field force.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition

  • Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent within the medical devices industry.
  • Ensure timely hiring as per manpower plans across domestic and international territories.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers for role clarity and candidate evaluation.

2. Onboarding & Induction

  • Execute location-specific onboarding plans to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
  • Conduct induction programs to align employees with company culture and performance expectations.

3. Performance Management

  • Develop and manage sales-specific PMS aligned with KPIs and targets.
  • Facilitate regular performance reviews and feedback cycles.
  • Identify development areas and support action planning.

4. HR Operations

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Oversee employment documentation, contracts, and coordinate with payroll on salary and reimbursements.

5. Employee Engagement & Retention (Remote employees)

  • Drive motivation and engagement through structured communication, surveys, and one-on-one interactions.
  • Address grievances and ensure a supportive work environment.

6. Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop and manage competitive C&B structures within budgetary guidelines.
  • Benchmark compensation trends to attract and retain top sales talent.

7. HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain HR dashboards and report key metrics for leadership insights.
  • Leverage data analytics to support strategic decision-making.

8. Strategic HR Partnership

  • Collaborate with sales leaders on organizational design, manpower planning, and succession strategies.
  • Benchmark and implement best HR practices relevant to sales force management.

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate with a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in HR from a reputed institute.
  • 8-10 years of experience managing HR for national/international sales teams in Medical Devices, Pharma, or FMCG sectors.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in managing large field sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes tailored to sales.
  • Expertise in recruitment, workforce planning, and field team dynamics.
  • Ability to drive engagement and recognition programs.
  • Skilled in HR analytics, dashboards, and MIS reporting.
  • Excellent communication, grievance redressal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort working with culturally diverse and remote teams.
