Qualification :
Essential: - Candidateshould have full time Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgy /Production or allied Engineering, from reputed institute.
Desired: - Mastersdegree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, Production or ChemicalEngineering or in Operation Management.
Experience: -
Essential: - 7+ years ofexperience in hot refining, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Desired: -
Experiencewith continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Priorexperience in managing safety programs within the refining sector.
Job Profile:
The position Holder will beresponsible for overseeing the hot refining process in the plant, ensuringoperational efficiency, safety, and quality. The role requires hands-onexperience in metallurgical refining processes, managing a team, optimizing production, and meeting regulatory compliance.
Process Management
Superviseand manage the hot refining operations, ensuring smooth functioning and optimum n output.
Developand implement strategies for process improvement and cost reduction in hotrefining.
Maintainan efficient balance between production quality, quantity, and resourceutilization.
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and mentor the operational team, ensuring alignment with safety andquality standards.
Setperformance objectives and regularly evaluate the teams progress toward thosegoals.
Quality Control & Assurance
Ensurethat products meet all necessary quality standards and customer requirements.
Collaboratewith the quality control team to analyze and address any product deviations or defects.
Safety and Compliance
Enforceadherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in the hot refiningunit.
Ensurecompliance with industry regulations, government policies, and internal safetyprotocols.
Production Planning
Developand execute production schedules to meet company demand, minimize downtime, andreduce bottlenecks.
Monitorkey performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, efficiency, and energyconsumption to optimize production.
Cost Control & Efficiency
Identifyopportunities for reducing operational costs, improving process efficiency, andmaximizing output.
Ensureproper utilization of resources, including raw materials, energy, and labor.
Equipment Maintenance
Coordinatewith the maintenance team for regular servicing, repair, and preventivemaintenance of refining equipment to avoid disruptions.
Reporting
Prepareand present regular reports on production performance, downtime, costs, andother critical metrics to senior management.
Skills
Technical Skills: In-depthknowledge of metallurgical processes, refining operations, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
Leadership Skills: Abilityto lead and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive performance.
Problem-Solving: Stronganalytical skills to troubleshoot operational issues and implement correctiveactions.
Communication Skills :Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team managementand reporting .
