Job Description

Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot
network devices
(switches, routers, firewalls).
Handle
IP addressing
,
subnetting
, and
network topologies
(star, bus, ring).
Monitor network performance using tools like
ping
,
traceroute
, and
network monitoring software
.
Ensure
network security
by managing firewalls, VPNs, and following best practices (AAA, IDS/IPS).
Work with
TCP/IP
,
DNS
,
DHCP
, and other key protocols.
Troubleshoot
connectivity issues
and resolve network problems quickly.
(Optional) Collaborate with
Windows Server administrators
on domain controllers, GPOs, and server security.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of
network fundamentals
(IP, MAC, subnetting).
Experience with
network devices
(switches, routers, firewalls).
Familiarity with
network protocols
(TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP).
Knowledge of
network security principles
(AAA, common threats, mitigation).
Hands-on experience with
network troubleshooting tools
.
(Preferred) Experience with
Windows Server environments
.

Preferred Certifications (not mandatory):

CCNA
,
CompTIA Network+
, or similar.
