Head Utility and Electrical Nagpur

A leading client of Empower Resources Head- Utility and Electrical for a manufacturing company.

JD:

• Lead operations and maintenance of all utility systems including HVAC, compressed air systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment, DG sets, and power distribution.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of utility services to support plant operations.

2. Electrical Engineering Oversight:

• Oversee HT/LT electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, panels, and substations.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and statutory norms (CEA, IE Rules, etc.).
• Supervise electrical load management, energy audits, and power factor correction initiatives.

3. Commissioning and Project Execution:

• Lead commissioning activities for new utility systems and electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.
• Prepare and review commissioning protocols, FAT/SAT, and handover documents.

4. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

• Implement robust preventive maintenance schedules for all utility assets.
• Use condition monitoring and predictive techniques to minimize downtime.

5. Energy Management & Sustainability:

• Drive energy efficiency initiatives and monitor energy KPIs.
• Propose and implement renewable energy projects and sustainable practices.

6. Team Management & Training:

• Lead, mentor, and train a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews and skill enhancement programs.

7. Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all utility documentation (SOPs, checklists, calibration, logbooks) is up-to-date.
• Comply with ISO, GMP, FDA, and other applicable audit standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferably with certifications in energy management or electrical safety)

• Experience:

  1220 years in utility operations and commissioning in a manufacturing or infrastructure setup

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and utility engineering
• Experience in handling CAPEX projects and commissioning of greenfield/brownfield utilities
• Familiar with SCADA/BMS systems, automation tools, and industry 4.0 practices
