Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to head our Supply Chain Management (SCM) function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EPC project supply chain operations , vendor development, procurement strategy, and logistics management, especially within power transmission or infrastructure projects . This is a critical leadership role with direct impact on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement SCM strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Lead a team of procurement, planning, logistics, and warehousing professionals. Procurement & Vendor Management: End-to-end procurement of project materials, including steel structures, conductors, insulators, hardware, and EPC-specific components. Build and nurture strong relationships with key domestic and international vendors. Negotiate contracts to ensure best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines. Project Supply Planning: Collaborate with project, engineering, and planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Monitor procurement schedules and inventory levels to avoid delays or cost overruns. Logistics & Warehousing: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics including multi-modal transportation. Optimize warehouse operations and inventory management systems. Cost Control & Compliance: Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and value engineering. Ensure all procurement and SCM activities comply with company policies and regulatory norms. Technology & Systems: Implement best-in-class ERP/SAP systems for SCM visibility and control. Leverage digital tools and analytics for demand forecasting, vendor performance, and risk management. Desired Candidate Profile: Education: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil preferred) + MBA in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred) Experience: 18–25 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership SCM role in an EPC/Infrastructure/Power T&D company Proven expertise in large-scale project procurement and execution Strong negotiation, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills Familiarity with Indian and international supplier ecosystems Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems
