Head Chef/Kitchen Manager

Job Summary: The Head Chef is responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu creation, inventory management, team supervision, and ensuring high culinary standards. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and food safety practices. Key Responsibilities: Plan, create, and update menus that reflect the style and concept of the restaurant or establishment. Supervise all kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation. Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and kitchen procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs and waste. Train, motivate, and discipline staff as needed to maintain a productive work environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas. Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Work closely with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and address customer feedback. Develop and implement standard operating procedures and policies for kitchen operations.
