Hardware Design: Develop and design hardware boards, including schematics and PCB layout, for medical devices. Prototyping: Create prototypes to validate designs and iterate on them based on testing feedback. Testing: Perform rigorous testing to ensure that hardware meets functional and reliability standards. Compliance: Ensure designs comply with medical standards such as ISO 13485 and other relevant regulations (CE, FCC, UL). Analog and Sensor-Based Design: Design and implement analog circuits and sensor-based systems. Processor-Based Designs: Work on hardware involving processor-based architectures and systems. Collaboration: Work closely with firmware engineers, product managers, and regulatory teams to integrate hardware with software and ensure product compliance. Required Skills and Experience: Hardware Design: Strong experience in hardware board design, including schematics and PCB layout. Medical Product Design: Proven experience in designing medical products with a solid understanding of medical compliance standards. Compliance Standards: Familiarity with ISO 13485 and other relevant medical device regulations (CE, FCC, UL). Analog and Sensor-Based Design: Expertise in analog circuit design and sensor integration. Processor-Based Designs: Experience with processor-based hardware designs. Tools Familiarity: Proficiency with Cadence Allegro and OrCAD design tools. Prototyping and Testing: Hands-on experience with prototyping, debugging, and testing of hardware systems. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in hardware design, particularly within the medical device industry. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
