Role Overview

Graphic Designer + Video Editor

Responsibilities

  • Design visually appealing creatives for Instagram, LinkedIn, website, and campaigns using

    Canva/Photoshop/Figma

    .
  • Edit engaging

    short-form videos

    and

    reels

    for Instagram, ensuring sharp transitions, good pacing, and strong hooks.
  • Create motion graphics and animated text overlays.
  • Maintain visual consistency across platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends, meme culture, and social media trends.
  • Collaborate with the team on brainstorming ideas and campaign themes.
  • Organize and maintain asset libraries (templates, b-roll, fonts, etc.)

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Canva/Photoshop.
  • A strong eye for detail, storytelling, and composition.
  • Basic knowledge of social media trends and formats (esp. Instagram Reels).
  • Ability to work independently and under quick timelines.
  • A portfolio of past work (can be personal projects, reels, edits, or design work).
  • Bonus: Experience with product-based brands or content creators.

Preferred but not Mandatory

  • Understanding of typography, color theory, and layouts.
  • Experience with motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with tools like CapCut, InShot, Figma, Lightroom.

Assignment (Mandatory)

Create & submit 1 sample reel for Shift. Choose one of the following:


POV: You’re trying Shift soda for the first time


Shift vs. Regular Soda (fun, snappy comparison)


A trending sound turned into a Shift brand moment

(Video should be under 30 seconds; can be shot on your phone.)


Design 1 Instagram post or story using Canva — featuring Shift soda. Make it fun, colorful, and on-brand.
