Job Title: QA Engineer / Tester Workflow Automation & Insurance Experience: 3–4 Years Domain: Insurance (Preferred) Employment Type: Full-Time Location: India / Remote Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer / Tester with 3–4 years of experience in testing workflow automation platforms, enterprise portals, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BPM tools (e.g., Flowable, IBM BAW, Pega) and a strong understanding of the insurance domain, especially in compliance-driven workflows such as claims and policy servicing. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Design & Execution Design test scenarios and cases for BPM workflows, portals, and system integrations (APIs, databases). Perform end-to-end testing across UI, business logic, and backend services. Conduct regression, smoke, and sanity testing during various release cycles. 2. Defect Management & Team Collaboration Log and manage defects with detailed replication steps using tools like JIRA/ALM. Collaborate with developers for defect resolution and perform retesting. Proactively escalate critical issues and blockers. 3. Test Reporting & Client Communication Prepare and present test summary reports to stakeholders and clients. Participate in sprint reviews and UAT sessions to communicate testing progress and risks. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager. 4. Insurance Workflow Validation Validate workflows, business rules, and role-based access logic. Ensure data integrity across document-centric workflows and ECM integrations (e.g., FileNet). Must-Have Skills: AreaSkills & Tools Testing Expertise - 3+ years of experience testing BPM/workflow solutions (Flowable, IBM BAW, Pega). - UI testing (React/Angular), API testing (Postman, SOAPUI). - Test case creation using BPMN diagrams/user stories. Tools & Methodologies - Defect tracking: Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM. - Test management: TestRail, Xray, Zephyr. - Agile/Waterfall/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines. Domain Knowledge - Insurance lifecycle understanding (policy issuance, claims processing, compliance). Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of QA experience with BPM/ECM applications. Strong experience in test planning, execution, and defect management. Technical Skills: SQL for backend validation. API Testing (REST/SOAP) with XML/JSON formats. Basic knowledge of Java/Spring Boot or Node.js (for automation readiness). Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for client and cross-functional collaboration. Ownership mindset and ability to meet testing deadlines independently. Good to Have: Automation: Selenium, Playwright, or Cucumber for UI/API automation. BPM Testing Tools: Flowable Test Bench or similar. Insurance Compliance: Experience with ACORD, HIPAA, GDPR. Integration Testing: IBM MQ, Kafka, FileNet ECM. Maintaining 100% on-time MIS and report generation Mandatory Skills required for this role include Delivery (RPA) experience of 1-3 years.
