Role & responsibilities To lead and manage the Chakan manufacturing plant operations, ensuring smooth production, quality assurance, maintenance, dispatch, HR management, compliance, and coordination with external agencies. The role involves hands-on technical supervision and commercial responsibility for certain plant functions while coordinating with the central support team at the Hinjawadi headquarters. Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Ensure uninterrupted operation of Injection Moulding and CNC turning machines. Plan and execute production schedules across 3 shifts with optimal manpower and machine utilization. Monitor daily production targets, cycle times, and output efficiency. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control systems. Coordinate in-process and final inspection processes. Ensure zero-defect delivery and adherence to customer specifications. Maintenance: Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all equipment. Coordinate with external service providers when needed. Stores & Inventory: Manage raw material, consumables, and finished goods inventory. Ensure correct documentation, storage, and timely reordering. Dispatch & Logistics: Coordinate with logistics partners for timely and safe dispatch of goods. Ensure all documentation (invoices, e-way bills, etc.) is in order. HR & Administration: Manage workforce of 25 to 30 people including operators, technicians, and support staff. Oversee recruitment, shift scheduling, attendance, and discipline. Address labour grievances and coordinate with contract labour agencies. Compliance & Liaison: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (factory license, safety norms, PF/ESIC, etc.). Maintain records required under labour and factory laws. Coordinate with local authorities and government departments as required. Commercial Responsibility: Optimize plant costs through efficient resource utilization. Support budgeting and cost control initiatives for the plant. Coordinate with procurement for local sourcing when needed. Coordination with Hinjawadi Head Office: Provide daily/weekly updates on production, issues, and performance. Preferred candidate profile Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering. 8 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a plant managerial role. Hands-on knowledge of Injection Moulding machines and CNC turning processes. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills. Working knowledge of quality systems and safety standards. Basic commercial acumen and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Ability to handle compliance and statutory matters. Preferred Personality Traits: Proactive and resourceful. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Discipline in systems, documentation, and reporting. Capability to manage a diverse workforce and create a cohesive work culture. Should be able to adapt to the art of delegation.
