Celestial Aerospace is developing a hydrogen-lift rocket system. We are seeking a materials engineer with deep expertise in high-strength fabrics like Kevlar, Mylar, and other aerospace composites. The ideal candidate has worked extensively on insulation systems, air sealing, and fabric-integrated aerospace components, with a strong foundation in materials behavior under thermal, vacuum, and mechanical stress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and evaluate high-performance fabric structures for insulation and sealing
• Develop air-proof and thermally resistant layered fabric composites
• Simulate tensile, pressure, and thermal loading using FEA tools
• Collaborate with structures and cryogenic teams to ensure envelope integrity
• Evaluate manufacturing processes for aerospace-grade fabric integration

Mandatory Skill Sets:

• MS/PhD in Material Science or Aerospace Materials
• Experience with Kevlar, Mylar, Nomex, and high-strength woven composites
• Hands-on with insulation layering, air sealing, and barrier film systems
• Proficient in FEA tools (ANSYS, ABAQUS) and thermal-structural simulations
• Familiarity with aerospace fabric processing and lamination techniques

Experience:

3–6 years in aerospace-grade fabric systems, insulation, or pressure-envelope design

Education Qualification:

M.Tech or PhD in Material Science / Aerospace Materials (with focus on high-strength fabrics and sealing systems)
