Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing and processing facilities. Purpose & Scope of Position To manage the design and engineering of water systems in thermal power projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant solutions as per project and client requirements. Experience 15+ years of experience in a multi-disciplinary environment on major projects of relevant experience in water systems design for thermal power projects. Qualification BE/B. Tech / ME in Environmental Engineering is an added advantage Key Responsibilities Design Leadership: Lead the design and detailed engineering of water systems in thermal power plants (DM water, raw water, cooling water, wastewater treatment, etc.). Preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, technical specifications, and process datasheets. General arrangements and layout drawings Knowledge of national and international design standards (e.g., BIS, ASME, ISO, AWWA). Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with clients / suppliers / EPC Contractors / local Engineering bodies for design approvals, technical discussions, and design review meetings. Key Responsibilities: Lead all technical efforts related to industrial filtration and pressure vessel projects, from inquiry to final delivery. Serve as the principal application engineer , interpreting client specifications and translating them into effective filtration solutions. Guide and oversee all process calculations , including flow rate, pressure drop, sizing, and filtration element selection. Ensure accurate vessel sizing and mechanical design , meeting applicable standards such as ASME, PED, and DIN. Oversee and validate the creation of P&IDs, GA drawings, fabrication drawings , and complete design packages using AutoCAD and design tools. Engage directly with customers and consultants during the pre-sales and post-sales phases to clarify technical specifications, conduct meetings, and support the sales team in generating accurate technical proposals. Responsibilities in the Job The role incumbent is responsible for working in team of technical services for technology absorption of the new plants coming up at DCTL, reviewing data packages and providing input to support smooth startup during commissioning. Ensuring preparation/review of the schemes/ technical support for the smooth operation of the existing plant and to prepare/review the technical schemes against the improvement ideas of various plants at DCTL; Monitoring the success of the schemes implemented. The activities performed by the incumbent include: Responsibility: 1. Absorbing the New Plants Technology coming up at DCTL in terms of BEP absorption & assisting Head/Lead TSD for changes, if any, to ensure smooth commissioning. 2. Evaluating existing production norms and proposal preparation for meeting and improving norms.
