The selected candidate will focus on the development and application of physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) for solving forward and inverse problems in acoustics, including time-harmonic and time-domain wave propagation, impedance characterization, and boundary value problems. Key Responsibilities Develop robust and scalable PINN architectures for simulating acoustic wave propagation in 1D, 2D, and 3D geometries. Formulate physics-constrained loss functions using the governing equations of acoustics (e.g., Helmholtz and wave equations). Implement boundary conditions including Dirichlet, Neumann, and Robin types for complex domains. Collaborate with team members on high-performance computing (HPC) or GPU-accelerated implementations of the models.
