Engineer - Robotics (Die Casting Division)

Role & responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial robots. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and programming faults in robotic systems. Monitor robotic system performance and optimize cycle times and repeatability . Support installation and commissioning of new robots and automation cells . Work closely with production and process teams to ensure robotic uptime and support process improvements. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and prepare root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues. Update and manage robot backup programs , configuration files, and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in risk assessments. Train operators and junior technicians on basic robotic operation and first-level troubleshooting. Collaborate with OEMs and service providers for advanced repairs and upgrades. Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of robot programming (Teach Pendant, PLC I/O integration) . Familiarity with PLC systems, sensors and industrial automation . Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.
