Job Description

As a Test Engineer/Lead, you will be responsible for the complete validation of telematics products, including end-to-end software and product testing, as well as vehicle compatibility testing for automotive telematics products. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring and planning test executions, creating and reviewing test cases, and reporting the test results. Additionally, you will be expected to address technical queries related to telematics features within the team and coordinate testing activities across various teams including hardware, mechanical, software, device, compatibility, cloud/backend, and mobile apps. You will also be responsible for conducting vehicle tests at customer locations, supporting customer activities, and participating in various types of testing such as Sanity Test, System Test, End-to-End feature test, OTA test, compatibility test, and device functionality tests for multiple customers and projects. Experience in test automation, particularly on Python, would be an added advantage. Furthermore, you will be required to analyze logs for any reported issues during testing, support full system tests of device firmware before releases, and provide test support and live debugging support for the development of new features or change requests. Your role will also involve supporting vehicle compatibility testing, tracking execution, and reporting, as well as connecting with various stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 7-9 years of experience as a Test Engineer in the automotive industry, with expertise in software testing, data analysis, logs, and tracing. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with knowledge of HW setup, telematics/infotainment systems, CAN, diagnostics, and telephony. Nice-to-have qualifications include ISTQB certification, knowledge of Automotive Testing Standard (A-SPICE), a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and some experience in automation and scripting using Python. Candidates should be willing to travel domestically and internationally for vehicle testing and work in an office environment based on test setup dependencies.
