Role & responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO and COO, the Director of Global Supply Chains mission is to lead and execute a world-class global sourcing and supply chain strategy that supports operational excellence, cost efficiency, and business growth across all regions. This individual will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of supply chain functions—including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationship management—while ensuring alignment with company goals and global compliance standards. As a strategic and influential leader, the Director of Global Supply Chain will drive data-informed decisions, establish supplier performance benchmarks, and negotiate critical contracts that reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability.

The Director should possess the expertise to develop and implement contingency plans, a Plan B, including identifying and securing alternative sourcing locations. This role requires close partnership with the Director of Operations & Manufacturing to ensure seamless production flow, material availability, and timely delivery. With a proactive approach to risk management and a focus on continuous improvement, the Director will be a catalyst for innovation, resilience, and efficiency throughout the supply chain network.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 15+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or global sourcing within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the oil & gas or valve sector.

2. Experience in purchasing and industry control within the oil & gas or valve sector.

3. Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of customs compliance with a proven track record of securing competitive contracts and managing supplier relationships.

4. In-depth knowledge of valve types, materials, applications, and industry-standard specifications.

5. Familiarity and extensive network knowledge of valve manufacturers and foundries in other parts of the world, including China, Middle East, and Asian markets.

6. Ability to read and interpret valve specifications and technical drawings alongside ability to review valve castings and supplies

7. Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management principles and supplier quality assurance best practices.

8. Experience managing supply chain projects, creating action plans, and driving sourcing initiatives.

9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to optimize procurement strategies.

10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders across multiple regions and functions.

11. Ability to travel internationally with up to date credentialing.
