Digital & Mixed Signal System Design Engineer

As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. This includes working on a wide range of components such as circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems to develop cutting-edge, world-class products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to develop solutions that meet performance requirements efficiently. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, the candidate should have 3 to 7 years of experience in Digital/Mixed Signal design and analysis. This role entails driving the design and development of complex DDR PHY IP for next-gen SoCs from inception to silicon. Key responsibilities of this role include: 1. Conducting critical path design and analysis for high-speed IP. 2. Performing cell profiling for advanced technology nodes. 3. Ensuring signal & power integrity through electrical spec signoff and mitigation. 4. Creating system specs and jitter budgeting (on-die + off-die). 5. Analyzing timing bottlenecks and making power, performance, and area (PPA) improvements. 6. Developing automation to expedite complex IP development processes.
